Aeris can print a variety of mailing labels:

Patient Labels

Patient labels will print one label per active patient.

Statement Labels

Statement labels will print one label for each statement that was printed on the last batch of statements.

CMS-1500 Claim Labels

Statement labels will print one label for each patient with claims printed on the last batch of CMS-1500 claims.

Plain Paper Claim Labels

Statement labels will print one label for each patient with claims printed on the last batch of plain paper claims.

All of the mailing label reports use the same option screen.

Use responsible party name

This option is available when printing patient labels and statement labels. When checked, the responsible party's name will be printed, if there is one, otherwise it will be the patient's name. Also when checked, the responsible party address will be used if present independently of the responsible party name.

Capitalize all printed text

If you want to print in all capital letters, check this box.

Delivery point bar code

When this box is checked, a bar code will be printed to help the post office correctly deliver your mail.

Skip labels with no address

Usually you will want to check this box. It will prevent printing labels when there is no address.

First Label Row and Column

When you are printing sheet-feed labels, Aeris helps you use partial sheets by letting you specify which row and column contains the first label. For full sheets, start with row 1 and column 1.

Mailing Label Definition

Use the drop list to select the format of the labels you will be printing on. A number of standard formats are included but you can add others if necessary by clicking the ellipsis button to the right of the drop list. This button uses the same labels list screen as the Setup Label Definitions menu option described below on page 92.

Keep Active

Check this box to keep this window on top of other windows until you complete or close the window.
